Opelbad: Aqua-Jogging

The course takes place in June, July and August every Wednesday from 11am for 40 minutes.

Participation is free of charge apart from admission to the pool.

The great advantage of aqua jogging is that, compared to training on land, the spine, musculoskeletal system and joints are relieved as soon as you get into the water. They are also not strained during the exercises and are therefore protected. As on land, you jog – but in a floating position – through the deep water. One significant difference: when aqua jogging, you generally do not touch the bottom of the pool. To loosen up the ‘normal jogging’ a little and to train other muscle groups, the stride sizes are changed, the speed is varied and the arms are also used in addition.
